Guiding principles

A well-made website communicates respect.

It demonstrates that you value the time and attention of your audience. I approach each project with that same respect — for the brand behind the website and the people who use it.

Every website serves three interests.

  • The Brand

I design the site around the character and purpose of each brand, instead of forcing it into a generic template.

  • The Visitor

The website should answer the right questions, build a sense of trust, and help visitors make informed decisions.

  • The Team

I build websites that the people behind them can manage with confidence, using straightforward tools for routine changes and additional support when needed.

FEATURED PROJECT

What a website can become: Arcata

Function & Form

Arcata brings events, education, and professional collaboration together through three mutually reinforcing pillars: Salon, Collegium, and Atelier. Editorial structure, classical imagery, and restrained design express that interconnected mission and guide visitors toward the appropriate offering.

My Contribution

Working within the Arcata team, my contributions included content organization, copywriting, visual direction, and hands-on development across two iterations. The resulting website brings Arcata's distinct offerings into one coherent experience for prospective patrons and partners.

How I can help

I build new websites and rebuild existing ones. Each project begins with an understanding of the organization, its audience, and what the website needs to accomplish. The goal is a site that presents your work clearly, builds confidence in your brand, and helps visitors take the next step.

01 Existing website

Rebuild

A comprehensive redesign of an existing site, preserving what is valuable and replacing what no longer serves its purpose.

02 New website

Construction

A new website built from the ground up around your work, audience, and goals.
